What is a sober companion?

Sober Companions offer live-in assistance, and guide clients through various situations and high-risk events. They are there to provide tailored support and accountability to individuals striving for sobriety.

Breaking established behaviours to achieve sobriety can be one of the toughest challenges individuals face. However, change is possible with the right support.

Our Sober Companions work closely with clients to help them break established behaviours, navigate triggers, and accelerate their journey towards meaningful recovery from alcohol or drug addiction.

How does a Sober Companion differ from a Sober Coach?

Sober Companions and Sober Coaches (or Recovery Coaches) each play distinct roles in supporting individuals on their path to recovery. While a Sober Coach typically focuses on guiding clients through the recovery process, our Sober Companions (who you can meet above) offer live-in support and accountability.

Our Sober Companions work in three primary capacities:

  • Short-Term Sober Companion Support for specific situations or high-risk events
  • Transitional Sober Companion services to bridge the gap between treatment programs and daily life
  • Long-Term Live-In Sober Companion support for ongoing accountability and recovery assistance

By providing constant companionship and support in real-life settings, our Sober Companions help individuals build new routines and increase their odds of transitioning to a sober lifestyle successfully.

There are many paths along the journey to drug or alcohol addiction recovery

Our dedicated sober companions are ready to provide support when it’s needed most.
